Before starting with my review, I'd like to say that dining at Shakahari is more of a Royal experience and is something which I would highly recommend to everyone reading this review. Now let's get started. Shakahari, as the name suggests, is a pure vegetarian fine dine Indian restaurant. The hostess greets you with a smile before sprinkling rose water on you. Rose water is an essential part to welcome guests royally. As I entered, the first thing that came to my notice was the plush sofas, the elegant maroon curtains and the overall ambiance which makes you feel as if you have entered a modern royal palace. Coming to the food, Maharaj Jai Kishen, and Chef de Cuisine Gaurav lavishly craft the menu, and it changes every two months. For my table, I had a mix of Punjabi and Gujarati cuisine. After settling down, a big silver plate arrived and seeing the size of the plate I knew I was in for a huge treat. Now the real show starts where there are a host of servers coming over and serving you an array of dishes. Beginning the royal meal with the assortment of delicious cold and hot appetizers, out of which I loved the Handvo which is a Gujarati lentil cake served with green chutney and Subz ki Shammi which is a pan-fried vegetable kebab having a subtle flavor of cinnamon and cardamom. The mains are something like a never-ending flow of delicious food on your plate. Dal Baati Churma with ghee is something you should never skip when you visit Shakahari. I was overwhelmed as it tasted similar to the one prepared by my mom. Another homely dish was the Gujarathi Kadhi, a light, flavorful curry which I prefer drinking directly from the bowl. Kaju Batata Rassa had tender, soft potatoes with cashew in a tangy red gravy. I also liked the Val Muthia Nu Shaak which is regularly prepared at Gujarathi households. It is a delectable preparation of red tomato based curry with field beans, fenugreek, and gram flour dumplings. There were hot puris, Amritsari kulchas, and bajra no rotla to go with the curries. I was also served Tarkari Kichdi which is universal comfort food and goes amazingly well with the dal or kadhi. Ps. do not forget to add ghee to it. And yes! There is Aamras too for all the Mango-heads out there! After I got done with the heavy food, it was time for desserts. Shakahari has a dedicated desserts room called as the Mishtan Bhandar which is a literal translation to Sweets Repository. There are around 30 types of desserts awaiting to get devoured. Their kulfis are prepared in-house and served as kulfi falooda which cannot be missed. Your meal is not complete there. The final element is their Paan which also acts as a mukhvas. To sum it up as I mentioned at the start that dining at Shakahari is a Royal Experience which will keep bringing you back for more. The hospitality by Restaurant Manager Mr. Partha and his team is a cherry on top. Special mention to Mr. Vinod who took care of our table and made sure our plates were always full of delicious food.

If you’re looking for perfect Indian cuisine then this is the place for you , their starters, desserts and main course is sooo osm . Along wth the taste they have very beautiful ambiance, plates are very beautifully decorated. Also there service is dry prompt . Also you will get a iced tea as a compliment. Must try for Indian cuisine lovers

Vegetarian Food Excellency in service Courteous staff Lovely ambience Specious place to sit and relax Mitthan Bandar has lots of sweet mouthwatering varieties . It's thali system with variety of special food north South East west like dal batti churma , Shevbhaji, kadhipakoda ... The menu is changed every week . The cost of thali per person is 1500 with taxes for adult and 750 for Kids up to 11 yr old Strongly recommend must visit . Small suggestion for Sakhari administrator about music . Please take care of music selection and it's little bit loud. Rest is At par of Excellency.
