The word 'Imdad' stands for aid or help. As well known publicly, this eatery is setup only for 30 days of Ramazan by 12 gentleman over the years. The idea is to donate the profits for charitable purposes. So its charity coupled with delicious food. I for one have been a regular diner since 2010. The food served is actually very good. This year we had Tandoori Chicken, Seekh Kebab, Chicken Bagdadi, Tandoori Roti, Khichda and Kharbuza Falooda. Food quality and quantitiy is decent. Pricing is equal to that of restaurants but is compensated by its taste which is actually very good. Kebabs are grainy and soft and propery grilled. Tandoori chicken was very tender given the fact that it was grilled on sigdi and not closed tandoor. Only let down can be Ambience but this is actually a temporary setup. All in all a very satisfying experience. A must visit for the sheer volume and variety of food on display (feast for the eyes) and of course the festive feel of Ramazan.

The food is average-good. Worth trying. Imdadi is an absolutely great to try wide variety of food under one single roof. It's easy on your pockets too.
I've tried chicken samosa, chicken til palak, chicken kadi gosht, chicken sheekh kebab, tandoori roti, and chicken imdadi special.
I recommend: chicken til palak and chicken imdadi special
