Good things can come from unexpected places. In this case, good rather great food. I always used to perceive this place as a hotel or where a variety of exhibitions are put up. The mouth watering food changed all my preconceived notions.
Food -
Manchow Soup - My favourite variant of soup and it indeed was so tasty. It was spicy with uneven cut green chillies and served with crispy fried noodles as always.
Chicken Rozali Kebab - Stunning pieces of succulent chicken stuffed with chicken kheema layered with gooey cheese. I can visit this place again merely to have these kebabs.
Chicken Tikka Masala - A typical tomato onion based gravy mixed with noteworthy chicken tikka. Nothing extraordinary, but worth having.
Dal Tadka and Jeera rice- At times, this combination is to die for. Smooth and creamy dal tempered with garam masala. When had with this mildly flavoured cumin rice, this is a heavenly dish.
Strawberry Ice cream - We asked for only one dish of strawberry Ice cream. They were really considerate of serving one slice into two separate plates.
Ambience - It is a very old place and I guess this place hasn't been renovated for years. One can get a typical feel of a hotel where people only come to stay and not dine.
Service - The staff is working at the same place for years together. Extremely polite, considerate and prompt. They were so ecstatic to have me as a customer who was so enthusiastic to click photos of every dish.
You can visit this place for a cozy and silent meal as hardly anyone comes here especially for lunch, unless you are staying here. This is also a place you may consider when roaming around FC road.
Came to pune on official purpose and residing in Hotel Ashish Plaza and this AAKASH Restaurant is in this Hotel. Food seems ok but costly for what they are providing. Ate veg biryani. Being a South Indian the biryani tastes nothing to me. However Shakes and Ice creams are yummy.
Pros :
* Good ambience.* Quality is good.* Contains non veg, veg and bar facility.* Place is tidy.* Yummy desserts.
Cons:
* Too expensive.
Worth visiting.
The food is flavorful, the service is top-notch, and the ambiance is delightful. Don't miss out on the dining experience at Aakash Restaurant, it's truly remarkable.
