I had Ordered a fresh fruit cake online through Zomato, then called up the bakers basket helpline number and spoke to a lady to give her instructions about the message on the cake. Specifically spelled out HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANKU. To which she responded. But when i received the cake it spelled HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARUN. little heartbroken because its my brothers birthday and someone messed up with the name.
What saved the day was the cake itself. Cheers to the kitchen team for making a wonderful cake.

P.S - add a line in your website for writing the message on the cake to avoid this kind of a mess up.

Bakers Basket is a very old cake shop in Pune. Now they have many outlets around Pune. Well I didn't knew this one was near my house. So decided to order a Cake from here on the occasion of my mom's birthday. We usually ordered the typical black forest or the pineapple cake. However this time it was chocolate temptation for a change. It was not anything exceptional, other than the usual chocolate cakes. Somehow I guess bakers basket seems to be loosing their heritage taste. Yet they are a step ahead from the local cake shops mushrooming around every corner. So overall worth a visit.

Nice place for cakes and pastries. I had red velvet caramel donut. It was not spongy, dense and dry. However caramel was good and soft in flavour. Also bought rum ball. It was bit hard to cut. Taste was good. Shop should be competitive and slowly looking quality products.
