This place is located at heart of the city next to the historic Shaniwar Wada. This place purely serves some good home-made style Maharashtrian food. They served some of the basic non-vegetarian dishes which are part of each and every home of Maharashtra. Talking about ambience don’t expect any of the fine ambience. It’s a simple place with simple plastic chairs and plastic tables. Their main moto is just food.

Maratha Gaurav (मराठा गौरव): Special dish, Fill chicken (bharli kombadi = भरली कोंबडी)
Location: Heart of the Pune city, Opposite Navin Marathi Shala main gate, near Vithal Ramji Shinde (Balgandharv) bridge.
Food: Bharali Kombadi (भरली कोंबडी) rating 5/5. It's a special dish, made to order. Order has to be placed 1 day in advance. What you get is a 1 full chicken piece. It's marinated for 5/6 hrs and then slowly cooked for 1/1.5 hrs. in about 300gm desi ghee (साजूक तूप). Quantity is enough for 5/6 people. There is small amount of gravy (masala) also with it so you can have it with chapati/roti/bhakari. Desi ghee taste is an inherent part of the dish, comes out nicely. The dish is not at all spicy. Good for all. Cost = INR 850.
The only improvement i will suggest is to provide some more gravy so that it becomes a full meal. As it is now, it is similar to starter and some thick gravy.
Best place for nonveg. Henceforth always मराठा गौरव . Good quality food
