In August 2023, my visit to the Ranchi Jharkhand railway station was not only marked by the cleanliness and amenities but also by the delightful culinary offerings in the vicinity. For budget-conscious food enthusiasts, there were enticing options such as a Rs 50/plate veg thali, satisfying the cravings for wholesome vegetarian fare. Meanwhile, those with a penchant for non-vegetarian delights could indulge in a Rs 70/plate fish thali, showcasing the diverse and affordable food culture around the station. The juxtaposition of these delectable choices against the backdrop of the upcoming Vande Bharat train inauguration, graced by Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi, added a unique flavor to the experience.
