Sunny's Restaurant is a classic Bangalore gem owned by Mr. Arjun Sajnani, who's also a theater director – quite the multi-talented individual! The place is renowned for its continental desserts, and they've got it all – from the classics to new-age fusion delights. You'll find sandwiches, burgers, quiches, and pasta, but wait, there's more – they've got steaks too! Yep, they're big and hearty, perfect for sharing if you're not super hungry. The quality of sandwich bread can be better though.
Now, about the drinks – they've got quite the selection, so you can sip and savor to your heart's content. The building is an old villa that has been converted. They were at one point in Vittal Mallya Road, in a tall glass building, but I honestly prefer the current location. The ambiance here is on point. You've got the choice of a lovely outdoor space that's pet-friendly and lush green, or if you prefer a cozy indoor setting, they've got that covered too. And if you're feeling fancy, there's a veranda section on top for some elevated dining.
In a nutshell, Sunny's Restaurant is a must-visit spot in Bangalore. Whether you're looking for a tasty meal, a cozy indoor retreat, or a pet-friendly outdoor experience, this place has it all. Don't miss out on this culinary and atmospheric delight! Can be a bit heavy on the pocket, look to spend at-least 2K per person.
Went here on a Friday afternoon with my dog. The atmosphere is quite chill.. The waiters are polite and non intrusive and the food is quite good albeit slightly over priced. Had a steak and then their signature tri layer chocolate mousse. Steak was quite good(although they gave it medium done even though i had asked for well done) and the mousse was exceptional. Overall a nice experience and recommended.
I booked a reservation for 1:30 pm on a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded and it was extremely reasonable. I didn't find the prices too much. We were 4 people and it barely came to Rs2500.
The place has got that old Bangalorean vibes which I loved very much. If you do sit outside, you'll be met with a lot of cigarette smoke, so sit inside if the smoke bothers you.
I had the vegetarian quiche (it has spinach, mushrooms, eggs and cheese) and it was flaky, crumbly and delicious!
I didn't like the desserts, they have very good variety but the chocolate isn't dark enough (even though I got the darkest chocolate cake) and they do add way too much sugar - maybe they cater to people who have a sweet tooth.
I loved the service - the staff is very polite and we got our food incredibly fast!
